About Ykeytta "Key" Spriggs
Key Spriggs' passion for supporting older adults began in childhood while she was caring for her grandmother. This early experience shaped her lifelong commitment to aging and health.
While studying for a degree in Business Management, Key supported herself by working as a caregiver for the elderly and disabled. Her compassion for vulnerable seniors never wavered. While her career led her to Human Resources for over 20 years, Key remained deeply connected to senior care, volunteering for a decade with the Alzheimer's Association Greater Maryland Chapter. She has been a moderator for the Annual African American Alzheimer's Forum, community health benefit fairs, and actively supports aging-in-place initiatives.
Key holds a Master’s in Aging & Health from Georgetown University and has worked with organizations like The Green House Project and DC’s Department of Aging to advance housing and aging solutions. She founded Less Is More to help older adults declutter, downsize, and create safe, comfortable spaces for aging in place.
Outside work, Key enjoys playing Pickleball and spending time with her husband, Westley, and their daughter, Brooke.
